Although Memorial Day only happens once a year, we strongly believe in supporting veterans year round. Whether we are awarding them with service dogs to help recover from post-traumatic stress or offering mortgage solutions specifically designed for them, The Inkman team is dedicated to and passionate about helping our nation’s heroes.
Families across the country enjoy the day off for Memorial Day, I do too, but that’s not what Memorial Day is all about. It’s about reminding ourselves and each other that we wouldn’t have the freedom we have today without the service of our veterans.
One of the many reasons I’m proud to be part of Fairway is the company’s commitment to honoring our veterans. Did you know that thousands of Fairway team members wear red every Friday for that reminder? We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk when it comes to paying our respect to and supporting veterans across the country.
Unfortunately more veterans die annually after they come home than they do during their service in the heat of battle. The reason I’m bringing all of this up is that you may know a veteran that needs help, and we are here to help.
A Gift That Transforms Lives
In partnership with the American Warrior Initiative, we recently had the honor of providing another service dog to a local veteran. These incredible animals are far more than just companions. They offer invaluable support to veterans who may be struggling with the challenges of their service – including physical injuries and post-traumatic stress. Service dogs provide both practical assistance with daily tasks and essential emotional support that promotes healing and a better quality of life.
A Mission We Believe In
At the Inkman Team, we are deeply committed to giving back to those who have selflessly served our country and the American Warrior Initiative is an organization that shares our values. The psychological and financial stress that veteran’s face is a heavy burden and we want to keep helping alleviate that stress for our veterans. How? We work tirelessly to support veterans and their families, not only with service dogs, but also by helping them leverage their home equity to provide financial relief every month, or pay for home renovations, or pay for long-term medical care, or even increase their purchasing power when they look to buy a house.
